This bronze sculpture by Benjamin Georgeaud depicts a young boy holding a dog in his arms with attentive gentleness. The calm posture and the precision of the modelling highlight the affectionate relationship between the child and the animal. The volumes are crafted with finesse and give the piece a warm presence that integrates easily into a contemporary interior.

The artist

Benjamin Georgeaud develops a body of work centred on the observation of gesture and the sensitive expression of human figures. His practice combines mastery of modelling, careful attention to attitudes and the search for an inner intensity. His sculptures favour a plastic language that emphasises tenderness, simplicity and the quiet strength of forms.

Decorative dimension

The verticality of the figure, the softness of the lines and the presence of the dog create a natural focal point in a living room, an entrance or an office. The sculpture brings a serene and warm atmosphere. The quality of the bronze and the precision of the details allow harmonious integration into contemporary or more classical spaces.

Materials and technique

The sculpture is made of bronze with particular attention given to transitions in the modelling and to textures. The casting and finishing work enhance the contrasts between smooth surfaces and more detailed areas, especially in the treatment of the face, the hands and the animal’s fur. The base ensures stable presentation and balanced enhancement of the piece.
