TAN Jian-Chung

TAN Jian-Chung is a Taiwanese artist, graduate of the National Art School of Taiwan, holder of a higher diploma from the School of Decorative Art of Strasbourg and  of a doctorate in arts from the University of Lorraine. But he is also a former student of the great masters of Chinese painting LI CHI-MAO and SU FENG NAN.
He combines in his work, made with India ink or watercolor that he mixes with mineral materials, the traditional expression of Chinese painting with the contributions of the currents of Western lyrical abstraction to propose works that bring you to meditation

2000: Award of Excellence in Chinese Painting in the Thirteenth Xing-Zhung Exhibition.
1999: Prize for excellence in Chinese painting in the thirteenth exhibition of southern Taiwan.
1998: First prize for Chinese painting at the Soun-Yi-Xian Memorial competition for young people.
1998: First prize for Chinese painting at the Taiwan Universities competition.
1998: Prize for excellence in Chinese painting at the exhibition of the National Taiwan University of Art.
1997: First prize for Chinese painting in the 44th exhibition of the central region of Taiwan.
1997: First prize for Chinese painting in the third exhibition of Tainan.
1996: First prize for Chinese painting in the "Da-Dau" competition.
1996: Award of Excellence in Chinese Painting from the National Taiwan Art University.
