Anma GUERRA

Born in 1963, in the heart of the lakes and mountains of Savoy, Anma discovered with her grandfather the visible and invisible lights and prisms of nature, and learned to capture the vibrations and subtle harmonies that run through the universe.
It was through her encounters with the artists Livio Benedetti and Pino Castagna that she learned to sculpt in their workshops, following the model of the Renaissance artists.
A hard school but one that allowed her to master the techniques of modeling on clay and plaster, direct carving on stone, and to be able to participate in the casting of her pieces in bronze by making the patinas herself.
Her works are spurts of her perception of the world. Her sculptures speak of worlds invisible to the naked eye. As she explains, "when dancing, or making a sculpture, the extra soul and grace are the embodiment of the intention.
Anma's world leaves a lot of room for a transcendent vision of art, her sculptures are windows to a sublimated state of consciousness. Anma is a traveler, she walks on a path that led her from dance to sculpture, in these meanders of creation that allow her to express her metaphysical questions and to travel the paths of the soul.
